Our Wines

These are the wines produced following the modern world trends, among the first in the category of quality wines, closed by a screw cap. The wines that attract by the abundance of primary fruit flavours and the freshness and lightness of taste in the range of dry and semi-dry to semi-sweet: Malvasia, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Rose.
This style of wine, as well as its visual and market appearance, makes a new step in spreading the culture of wine among the young, proclaimed by wine reviewers to be the most successful project in Croatian wine production in 2009.

Special Edition is a series of very elegant, more fruity and light varietal wines with lower alcohol content. Such wines are suitable for consumption especially during the summer, making no demands on haute cuisine and high consumption. In accordance with the new world trends, this wine has screw cap preserving its freshness and primary aroma, as well as the convenience of re-closing and storage when the bottle is opened.

This range consists of a pure varietal, well nurtured and matured wines from most of the major Croatian wine varieties produced by strictly defined oenological standards of Davor Zdjelarević. Thirty-year oenological experience and good relationships and friendships with many fellow winemakers in Croatia and the region have prompted me to create these unique wines from the wine-growing region of Slavonia to Istria and Dalmatia. Produced in limited small series designed exclusively for class dining and good wine connoisseurs.

In personal pursuit of the perfect, we are always motivated to explore the limits of its capabilities. The perfect wines produced in the duo of nature and man can only be expected in the best vineyard years. Such harvesting is rare but they give us the ability and obligation to express our best enological skills. In one word, “ESSENCE” wines are top quality wines that combine all elements of excellence. We produce them in limited series according to the highest technological standards only from grapes from the finest vineyards (Grand cru)

Wines produced by mixing mature minimum two-years oak-barrel-ripened wine (225 L Barrique). Experience and creativity in the creation of such wines as the summit wine-making skills are confirmed by many Croatian wine experts’ reviews. NAGUAL WHITE (Chardonnay-Sauvignon) was rated the best Croatian white wine with four gold clusters, in the Consumer Signpost of the wine magazine SVIJET U ČAŠI (World in Glass) in 2009, as well as in the Wine Guide of the daily newspaper VEČERNJI LIST – with five gold cups, while NAGUAL RED (Cabernet Sauvignon- Merlot) wine in the Consumer Signpost of the magazine SVIJET U ČAŠI  (the World in Glass) received three gold clusters, the silver medal at Decanter 2010, and 90 points from the world’s best reviewer Robert Parker!

Production of sparkling wine by a classical method of fermentation in the bottle is the biggest temptation wine-making skills for each winemaker. COUNT: Grasecco, Classic Blanc de Blanc and Classic rose ~ manufactured by oenological cooperation with one of the best oenological virtuoso Mr Mastnak from Slovenia, while the champagne Grof Millenium is fifteen years old one of the best oenological creation of Davor Zdjelarević. The project of the sparkling wine Grof is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the wine brand Zdjelarević, and is just another proof of the inexhaustible creative energy of its creator Davor Zdjelarevic!
